The Cabo San Lucas Country Club, formerly known as the Raven Golf Club, is a renowned 18-hole masterpiece designed by Roy Dye (brother of famed architect Pete Dye) and his son Matt Dye. This stunning course, which opened in 1994, has been a favorite among golf enthusiasts visiting or living in Cabo San Lucas for years. The club was part of the first wave of the golf boom in Los Cabos, and its enduring appeal is a testament to its exceptional design and breathtaking views.

Located only minutes from downtown Cabo on gently sloping terrain overlooking the Sea of Cortez, this 200-acre course has been literally carved out of the mountain and desert terrain while maintaining the fragile ecosystem. It remains a natural habitat for all manner of flora and fauna, offering a unique golfing experience that is both visually stunning and environmentally conscious. Hole 18 is home to the most spectacular panoramic views of Land’s End and is a must-see by golfers and non-golfers alike.

In December 2018, the course underwent a significant renovation led by renowned Mexican golf course architect Agustín Pizá, following damage from Tropical Storm Lidia. This renovation both shortened the back nine and widened the fairway corridors to maximize the grandeur of the ocean views. The renovation resulted in seven new holes, which experts have praised as giving new life to a course that has long been known for being one of the best values in Cabo San Lucas.

The signature trappings of Cabo San Lucas Country Club golf include picturesque fairways where golfers can enjoy the sights of colorful bougainvillea, palo blanco trees, and a species of cacti that is the tallest in the entire world. What is perhaps most notable about Cabo San Lucas Country Club is that it is the only local layout in all of Cabo that treats players to views of Land’s End and its internationally famous Arch. Even for those who are only vaguely interested in golf, playing these links may be worth it for the view of the Arch alone.
